What is Climbing Sport-Studies?

You are in high school and you want to climb and move every weekday morning before going to school? This program allows you to do it whether you are at the Triolet or in somes other private schools in Sherbrooke!

This sport program aims to train athletes who are efficient and ready to give the best of themselves to every training and competition. The development of the physical, mental, energetic and technical aspects of each student will be put foward throughout the year.

The program includes training every morning of the week from 8:30 to 10:30 from September to the end of May, at our two centers, Vertige Escalade and O-Volt.

Weekly schedule :

Depending on the competitions, the strengths and weaknesses of each student, we divide our year into different sections in order to work strength and endurance while keeping a good load of effort.

Here is a typical week of September (2018)

Monday: Bouldering at O-Volt
Tuesday: Top rope climbing at Vertige
Wednesday: Yoga, free-running (parkour), races, breakdance, trampoline, sport-studies exchanges, physical education, preparation for competitions
Thursday: Bouldering at O-Volt
Friday: Top rope climbing at Vertige

  • Enjoy climbing and being motivated to give your best as an athlete
  • Present academic results equal to or greater than 70% in French and mathematics
  • Have a passing grade in all other school subjects
  • Desire to participate in at least one bouldering and one routes competition during the year
  • Participate and be accepted following the selections organized by Sport-études Escalade (To register, please contact us by email)

Sign up cost:
$2460+tx per year

This includes:

  • 4 weekly trainings
  • 1 weekly connected activity
  • Competition membership with the Fédération Québécoise de la Montagne et de l’Escalade
  • Vertige membership for the school year (September – June) and a discount on family Vertige membership

Dans la conjoncture actuelle, la direction de Vertige Escalade a pris la décision de faire sa contribution pour limiter la propagation du coronavirus. Notre centre est donc fermé en date du 15 mars 2020. Nous évaluerons la situation quotidiennement et vous tiendrons informé. Nous espérons ainsi protéger la santé de nos clients et de nos employés.


Le gouvernement du Québec a émis une directive le 15 mars en après-midi concernant tous les cente d’entraînements. Nous suivons cette directive. Le centre sera donc fermé jusqu’au 30 mars. Nous suivons comme tous la situation et nous vous informerons de notre réouverture en temps et lieu.

Half-day Day Camp – 9:00am to 12:00pm
Only available during the following weeks:

W2: July 1st to 5th, 2019
W4: July 15th to 19th, 2019
W5: July 29th to August 2nd, 2019
W7: August 12th to 16th, 2019



PRICE: $240 per week

  • Taxes not included
  • $15 off registration fees if completed before April 22, 2019
  • $15 off each registration of additional weeks for the same family (the first week purchased at regular price)


  • 3 hours of climbing per day minimum
  • Use of climbing material, communication and safety
  • Introduction to safety practices and belay
  • Depending on the level: Learning to climb independently
  • Practice comfortability with heights
  • Learning basic climbing techniques: movements, hand and feet placements, different walls
  • Reading the routes, energy management, physical development
  • Initiation to ascending and descending on the ropes
  • Tarzan rope
  • Other activities: Cooperative games, hikes, aquatic activities, biking, creative activities, karate, etc.
  • Please note we ride our bikes in between activities
